Treatment target: Plantar Fasciitis. My pain had been at a 7-10 in my foot and my shoulder's range of motion highly compromised for over a month. I had zero plans for Whole Body Cryo or Whole Body Red Light Therapy at 10:30 am when I met up with others at the zona location, but that's what happened. I was totally scared to do it - voluntarily freezing my whole body doesn't appeal to me. But I was peer-pressured into it, and I'm glad I was! It did go by quickly, but three of us were in there together so having each other to chat with definitely took my mind off of the cold. The plantar fasciitis pain has been at a 10 by Thursdays each week, as by then I've lifted weights twice, attended two HIIT classes and core by Thursday morning. That night I kept waiting for the pain to shoot across my foot - especially during squats. I had zero pain and in fact overall my muscles were refreshed. Although I didn't really feel amazingly different *immediately* after cryo followed by red light, by 5:30 pm I had a ton of energy, more ROM in my hips and shoulders, and my pain was at a 2. WOW. I also slept like a rock. The relief of pain to my foot lasted for about two days, but as it goes with Plantar fasciitis, it did come back. But not nearly as bad, maybe a 5 to 7. I went back to explore the local cryo, to target my foot. For me, it didn't have as major of an impact as the whole-body. It did relieve a little more pain, but like a junkie I was after that major relief the whole body cyro gave me. Definitely will be back and this will probably be my go-to gift certificate. They offer a wide range of services and most of my friends are those I made at the gym, so we're all always suffering with something!
